First Tournament Win!

X wing Battle Report – Blakfyre Fly Casual Tournament 6-21-2016

I recently acquired the advanced targeting computer and tie advanced title from a friend so I built this imperial aces list, I only flew it once before the tournament but I loved it. Imp aces did well for me, this was the first time I took first place a at tournament.

We started facing each other and on the first pass I was able to get several shots off on Poe and kill him rather quickly, unfortunately Soontir got caught at range 1 and killed by a direct hit. I kept bumping Vader into my inquisitor and almost lost him, but eventually I was able to pull things together and get a win and only lost 1 ship.

One the second turn I opted to boost Soontir into range of both The inquisitor and the cloaked Whipser, Inquistitor missed on his shot on soontir and since Inquisitor had a focus and autothrusters I opted to try for maybe one damage on Whipser, range three through a rock. My three dice against his 6…I rolled two crits and a hit, he rolled five blanks and a focus…and flipped a direct hit. Whisper was gone and my opponent was pretty discouraged so the game ended quickly.

On the first encounter I opted to let Inquisitor take a damage instead of risking more damage on the second gunner shot, Inquisitor got a couple hits in on RAC. Soontir and RAC both successfully blocked on left Vader at range one with a TL on RAC luckily he only took 2 damage, and Soontir and inquisitor got a few more hit in on RAC. I was able to arc dodge my Soontir out of the way on his Soontir but Vader was in range of both enemy ships. Vader got his shot on RAC and I opted not to use my focus so I got one hit and one crit. The crit was blinded pilot so RAC wasn’t able to shoot that round, which saved him since Soontir landed a crit Major Hull Breach. I was able to kill RAC the next round and then spent 5 or so rounds arc dancing with Soontir. I was able to get my team behind him his Soontir without any stress tokens while he was stressed, he was forced to do white maneuvers a couple times that really hurt, and finally I was able to get shots from all three ships tokened up for the win.
